Obituary of Giuseppe Murone

Giuseppe Murone, 84, of Paterson, passed away on January 7, 2013. He was born in Sambiase, Catanzaro, Italy, to the late Giuseppe and Isabella (nee Cristaldo) Murone. He served in the Reggimento Garibaldi Italian Army before immigrating to America in 1954. He worked at Allied Textile in Paterson for many years before retiring and was a proud and loyal member of Local Textile Union #1733 and the Passaic County Laborers Welfare Union #239. He later worked as a general laborer in construction. He was the beloved husband of the late Francesca (nee Pugliano) and has since been sharing his life with Dorothy Woodward. He was the cherished father of Joseph Murone, who was the past President of the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 120 and his wife Donna and was predeceased by his daughter Isabella and survived by her husband Giuseppe Urciuoli. He is the adored grandfather of Carina and Joseph Murone, Deborah Brengel and her husband Drew and Vincent Urciuoli and his wife Analisa and the great grandfather of Isabella Brengel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Thursday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson, NJ. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson.
