I didn't have the opportunity to spend very much time getting to know my cousin Sandy. I did however, hear about her thru my Mom and Aunt Ethel. Her courage was nothing short of amazing. And the love and support from her family was apparently exceptional as well. My heart goes out to my Aunt Irma and cousin Cindy as they adjust to their loss. God be with Sandy and those she left behind.

Dear Mrs. Blixt, Cindy and family: I am so saddened to hear of Sandy's passing. Sandy touched my life as a child so remarkably that I will never forget her. I will think of her smile as she took to the sidewalks in her latest scooter, the summer days we spent following our older sisters everywhere, and the laughter we shared doing nothing at all. Sandy seemed to always be the happiest kid in the neighborhood. I am thankful to have had such a remarkable childhood friend. With deepest sympathies, Betsy

Dear Mrs. Blixt, Cindy and Ed:
I am very sorry to hear this sad news. My earliest memory of Sandy was of a smiling four or five year old being "shown off" by Cindy. Sandy was so good natured, laughed easily, and seems to have to have a sense of calm that few people have. My thoughts are with you in sympathy and friendship. Joanne

My heart goes out to you and your family Cindy. You have always been so kind since you first offered to be my friend in 1971. I vividly remember Sandy's smiling face always riding her motorized car up and down Cindy Street. I pray she is peaceful and smiling down on your family providing warmth and sunshine in your hearts. Love,

I'm so sorry to hear the news and so sorry for your loss. I haven't seen Sandy since she was a kid but I'll always remember her riding one of her electric cars that her dad fixed up for her up and down the sidewalk in front of the house on Cindy St. in Old Bridge. Brandy, the amazing dog who never left the yard, would pace along the grass along with Sandy. She was so sweet with an unforgettable laugh and smile.
