Obituary of Edo DeCaprio

Edo DeCaprio, age 88, of Paterson, passed away on April 1, 2010. Edo was born in Paterson to the late Pasquale and Josephine DeCaprio. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard during WWII. He last worked as a chief investigator at the Department of Welfare in Paterson, NJ. He was a former member of the Caesar Batiste Club in Paterson, NJ. He was the devoted husband to the late Cecelia (nee Damato) for over 61 years. He is the dearly loved father of Johanna Lenihan and her husband James and Patrick DeCaprio. He is the dear grandfather to Thomas Swift and his wife Angela, Kerry Ray and her husband Michael, James Lenihan and his wife Michele and Maryann Sutton and her husband Gene and great grandfather of Tamar, Joshua, Katelyn, Cecelia, Chloe, Kevin, Zerah, Shannon, Spencer, Hadassah, and Michael. Dear brother to sister Edith Nicholas and brother Patrick Rooney. He is predeceased by his sisters Jean Mays and Angela Giangeruso. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held Friday 10:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home.
