Obituary of Francesco Nocella

Francesco Nocella, age 83, of Haledon, formerly of Woodland Park, passed away on June 16, 2010. Francesco was born in Gaeta, Italy and came to the United States in 1947. He proudly served this country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. Before retiring he worked as a mechanical engineer for NJ Bell. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 238 in Woodland Park and a former member of the Italian-American Club in Woodland Park. He was a parishioner of St. Gerard's Majella Church in Paterson. Beloved father of Emily Krause and her husband Kurt and Joseph Nocella and his wife Wendy. Treasured grandfather to Nicholas and Vincent Nocella. He is the loved brother of Mary Nocella and Salvatore Nocella and his wife Linda. Dear uncle to Rebecca and Amanda Nocella. Visiting will be Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Monday 9:30am at St. Gerard's Majella Church, Broadway, Paterson. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
