Obituary of Carmen Carrabba
Carmen Carrabba, age 87 of Mahwah, passed away on July 20, 2010 at his home. He was a retired Paterson Police Sergeant for 25 years. He last was employed as a Security Guard for Jaguar of Mahwah for 12 years. He was a proud WWII Army AirCorp Staff Sergeant Veteran involved in 30 bombing missions over Germany during war. He was a parishioner of St. Gerard's Church. Carmen was also a proud member of the Italian Circle and of the Italian Heritage Club in Paterson. He was also a proud member of the ELKS 2111 in Totowa.
Loving husband of Rose (nee: Catanzaro) for 63 years. Cherished father of Josephine & her husband Henry Heberling. Beloved grandfather of Michael & Katherine Heberling. Dearest brother to Thomas & his wife Lucy Carrabba and sisters Theresa Scine & Emma & her husband John Martin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 23 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 24 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gerard's Church, Paterson, NJ. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
