Obituary of Irving Davidson

Irving "Red" Davidson, age 76, of Wayne, formerly of Paterson, Totowa, and Woodland Park, passed away on January 8, 2011. Red proudly served the United States as a member of the Navy from 1952-1955. He was a mechanical contractor and the owner of Davidson and Howard, Inc. He was an avid golfer at Upper Montclair Country Club.
He was the beloved husband for over 54 years to Julia (nee Drol). He was the treasured father to Susan DiFluri and her husband Tom, Kate Purves and her husband Glen, Elaine LaGatta and her husband Mike and Jim Davidson and his wife Dawn. Adored grandfather to Lauren, Jaime and Michelle DiFluri, Shannon, Shawn, Julianne, Justin and Corey Purves, Allison, Kevin and Stacey LaGatta, Nicole, Erica, Brian, Caitie, Michael, and Jack. He is also survived by his sister Eileen Setlock Montesano as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Harold and William.
Visiting will be Tuesday from 3-7pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
