Obituary of William G Johnson

William G. Johnson, age 85, of West Paterson, passed away on March 19, 2011. He was born in Paterson, NJ to the late William and Sadie Johnson. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He later worked as a letter carrier for the Little Falls Post Office for over 35 years. He was a parishioner at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson. He was the beloved husband to Mary (nee Salamone) for nearly 60 years. He was the treasured father to Mary Ann Dlugosz and her husband Eugene. He was the adored grandfather to Shannon and James W. Durkin. He was the dear brother to George Johnson and Elizabeth Reinhardt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
