Obituary of James Cropanese

James Cropanese, age 90, of Woodland Park, passed away on March 28, 2011, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Woodland Park to Joseph and Rose Cropanese. He worked as an electronic technician before retiring. He was a parishioner and usher at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Paterson. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 6805 in Paterson and was a member of the West Paterson Seniors. He was a talented guitar player and yodeler. He was the devoted husband to the late Theresa. He is the treasured father to Rosetta Kroll and her late husband Ken, Barbara Mack and her late husband Dennis, and James A. Cropanese and his wife Patricia. He is the adored grandfather to Stacy Garvey-Pennetta and her husband Victor and Kaitlyn Cropanese and the great grandfather to Victor Pennetta, Jr. He was the dear brother to Anthony Cropanese, Dominick Cropanese, Rose Coppa, Mae Spinoso and Samuel Cropanese. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Cropanese. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Thursday at 10am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
