Obituary of Gene Vincent Cinque

Gene Vincent Cinque, Sr., age 89, of Woodland Park, passed away on April 13, 2011. He was born in Paterson, NJ almost 90 years ago to the late Vincenzo and Alfonsina Cinque and later moved to Woodland Park over 42 years ago. He proudly served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. He later worked at various locations in the textile industry. More recently he worked as a Woodland Park Crossing Guard for over 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #238 and the China Burma India Association. He was a lover of baseball and the NY Yankees. He was the beloved husband to the late Kathleen Cinque. He was the treasured father to Patricia Ann Filomeno and her husband Frank and Gene Cinque, Jr. and his wife Marge. He was the adored grandfather to Dave and Victoria Cinque and Natalie Filomeno and a great grandfather to Alyssa Cinque. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 1 brother and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 9:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
