Obituary of Josephine S. Portelli

Josephine S. Portelli, (nee Casuccio), age 84, of Paterson, passed away peacefully in her home on May 9, 2011. She was born in Paterson to the late Alexander and Mary Casuccio. She worked for many years as an order checker at Barbizon Corporation in Paterson. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Portelli. She was the treasured mother and best friend of Linda Portelli who worked for many years at the Department of Health in Paterson before her recent retirement. She is also survived by her cousin Dawn Freeman and her daughter Erica Jacobs. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at St. Gerard Majella Church, 501 Broadway, Paterson at 9:30am. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 8:30am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
