Obituary of Lucia Burrafato

Lucia Burrafato, (nee Imparato), age 65, of North Haledon, passed away on August 2, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy to the late Frank and Cristina Imparato. Lucia was the beloved wife of John Burrafato for over 49 years, the adored mother of Rosanna Filomeno and her husband Anthony, Angelo Burrafato and his wife Cheryl, Cristina Burrafato, and John Joseph Burrafato and his wife Dawn and the treasured grandmother to Valentina, Jeremy, Lucia and Carmela Burrafato. She is the dear sister of Luigi Imparato, Angela Burrafato, Benedetto Imparato, Annamarie Covello, and John Imparato as well as their spouses and their children. Lucia is also survived by her mother in law, Rosa Burrafato, her sister in law Doreen Sigona and her family, her niece Doreen Chiaramida and her family, and many godchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be Friday from 4-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Saturday at 10:30am at St. Gerard Majella Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson, NJ. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9:30am. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
