Obituary of Catherine Dillon Haropolous

Catherine Dillon Haropolous, age 72, of Paterson, passed away on August 6, 2011. She was born in New York, NY to the late John and Ethel Dillon. Catherine was the first female to graduate Yoemen School with honors and later served the country as a member of the United States Navy from 1956-1958. She was a dedicated registered nurse for 36 years working most recently at the Meadowlands Hopsital in Secaucus and Daughters of Miriam in Clifton. She is the treasured mother of Philip and his wife Barbara, William, Paul, Daniel and the late John Haropolous. She was the treasured grandmother of 9. She is the dear sister of John Dillon, Jr., Mary Durkan, Veronica Bollbach, the late Richard Dillon, and Margaret Fitell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held during visitation at 7:30pm. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
