Obituary of Joseph Talluto

Joseph John Talluto, age 72, of North Haledon, passed away on September 11, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Giordinello, Italy to the late Joseph and Vincenza Talluto. Joe proudly served the United States as a member of the Army from 1960-1964. Although he was described as a "renaissance man" he worked for over 35 years as a machinist at Nabisco in Fair Lawn. He was a parishioner of St. Michael's and St. Gerard Church in Paterson. Joe was a member of the Roma Sport Club and the St. Michael's Social Club, both in Paterson. Joe is survived by his wife of 28 years, Theresa (nee Caravelli), his daughter Jennifer Talluto and her fiancé Sebastian Chiaramida, his son Joe Talluto, III, and his daughter Virginia Griffin as well as 4 grandchildren. Joe is also survived by his sister Anita Rubino and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his family, Joe was a friend to many who will sorely miss him. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 9:30am at St. Gerard Majella Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 8:30am. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Crooks Ave. and McLean Blvd., Paterson.
