Obituary of Edward J. Hanlon, Jr.

Edward J. Hanlon, Jr., age 59, of Woodland Park, formerly of Fair Lawn, passed away on September 29, 2011. He was born in New York, NY to the late Edward J. and Dorothy B. Hanlon and grew up in Fair Lawn, graduating from Fair Lawn High School. Edward worked for the Department of Public Works in the City of Paterson as a heavy equipment operator and was also a member of the Local Union # 2272 in Paterson. Eddie was the beloved husband of Maryann (nee Currie). He was the adored father of Edward J. Hanlon, III and Timothy J. Hanlon. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Kirby and her husband Thomas, brother in law Herbert Currie and his wife Joan, sister in law Ruth Patterson, brother in law Robert Currie and his wife Dale and brother in law Patrick Currie and his wife Sylvie, godson Nicky Bilynsky and many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 9am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 8am. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
