Obituary of Margherita D'Anna

Margherita D'Anna, (nee Gagliano), age 83, of Woodland Park, passed away on October 4, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Margherita was born in Sicily, Italy to the late Filippo and Isabella Gagliano. In addition to being a loving homemaker, she worked as a seamstress for many years as a member of the Ladies Garment Union in Paterson. She was a parishioner at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson. Margherita was the beloved wife of the late Alfonso D'Anna (2009), the adored mother of Antonio and his wife Sylvia, Josephine Bruno and her husband Albert, Isabelle Siracusa and her husband Giovanni, and Philip and his wife Carol. Margherita was the loving grandmother to her 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was also survived by her sister Susie Arena and brother Nino Gagliano as well as many nieces and nephews here and in Italy. Visitation will be Thursday, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 9am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey Street, Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 8am. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
