Obituary of Walter H. Kleinow

Walter H. Kleinow, Jr., age 49, of Wayne, passed away suddenly on November 5, 2011. Walter was born in Paterson, NJ to Patricia (nee Zambrino) and the late Walter Kleinow, Sr. Walter graduated from Passaic County Technical Institute where he played football. He later worked at Russo Developers and was also a member of the BAC Local #4 Masons' Union. Walter was the adored and loving husband of Lisa (nee Minardi) and the cherished father of Andrew and Christianna Kleinow. Walter was the treasured son of Patricia Kleinow and son-in-law to Joseph and Herminia "Rita" Minardi. Walter is the dear brother of Karl Kleinow, Kathy LeBron and her husband Jose, and brother-in-law to Maria Ojeda and her late husband Jose, John Minardi and his wife Jules, and Christina Minardi. Walter is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Walter, and his brothers John and Sal. Walter will always be remembered for his rare redeeming qualities - he was a loving and devoted husband and father who brought happiness to every occasion along with his wonderful cooking. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 10am at St. Mary's Church, 17 Pompton Ave., Pompton Lakes. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9am. Cremation will be private by the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to College America and provided to Walter's family to help fund his children's college educations.
