Obituary of Hugo L Pitea

Hugo L. Pitea, age 85, of Marietta, GA, formerly of Woodland Park, passed away on December 10, 2011. Hugo was born in Elmwood Park to the late Jack and Josephine Pitea. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He later worked as a draftsman at Singer-Kearfott before retiring. Hugo was a board member and member of the mission board at Valley Chapel in Clifton, a member of the misson board at Calvary Assembly in Woodland Park, and the former president of the Our Lady of Pompeii Seniors in Paterson. Hugo is survived by the love of his life, his wife Katherine "Kitty" Cornetto-Pitea. He was the beloved father of Victor Cornetto, Sal Cornetto and his wife Janet, Sandra Cornetto-Majors, Rich Cornetto and his wife Sandra, and Michael Cornetto. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, his sisters Grace Mangine and Alba Pitea and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Nino and Joseph. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home.
