Obituary of Florence Nordyke

Florence M. Nordyke (nee Majury), age 91, of Woodland Park, passed away on December 25, 2011. She was born in Paterson to the late John and Florence Majury. As a young woman, Florence worked for Barbizon where she met and married her late husband William who pre-deceased her in 1991. In addition to her role as homemaker, she waitressed for many years before retiring. Florence was a member of the Woodland Park Seniors and enjoyed many wonderful and fun trips with the club. She was the beloved mother of Debby Barbary and her husband Edward, Gram to Diana Mazzarella and her husband Chris, Danielle LaBeur and her husband Chris, Jennifer Barbary and Michael, and Gigi Flo to Dylan and Madison. She is also survived by her sister in law Helen Majury as well as many good friends. She was predeceased by her brothers John and Robert. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Thursday at 10:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
