Obituary of John W Tafaro, Sr.

John W. Tafaro, Sr, age 65, of Woodland Park, passed away on December 28, 2011. John was born in Paterson to the late William and Carmela Tafaro. John was the manager of the Westmount Village Apartments in Woodland Park. He was also a former trustee at the Passaic Valley Elks #2111 in Totowa. In his spare time, he also enjoyed drag racing. He was the beloved husband of Judy (nee Ritter) for over 40 years. He was the treasured father of John Tafaro, Jr., Vito Tafaro and partner Vicki, Daniel Tafaro and his fianc Tohbi, and Edward Tafaro and his wife Lynn and the grandfather of Rachel, Vito, Jr., Daniel, Jr., and Anthony John. He is also survived by his sister Angela McCran, her husband Edward, their daughters Maribeth, Lauren and Kristen and their families. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ 07424. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
