Obituary of Gaetano Rubino

Gaetano Rubino, age 86, of Woodland Park, passed away on January 11, 2012. Gaetano was born in Pacentro, Italy to the late Germano and Gemma Rubino. He immigrated to the US in 1951 where he worked for many years at a railroad contruction company and later as a textile worker at Associate Dye and Print in Paterson. Gaetano was a member of the Societa di Pacentro in Paterson, the Our Lady of Pompeii Seniors and the Local #1733 Dyers Association. He was the beloved husband of Domenica (nee Timperio), the treasured father of Jerry Rubino and his wife Lesley and Francesca Lucchesi and her husband Walter, and the adored grandfather of Justin and Tyler Rubino and Matthew and Jaquelyn Lucchesi. He is the dear brother of Crescenzo Rubino, Elisa Rubino Di Salle, Roberto Rubino, Bruno Rubino and his wife Franca and brother in law to Emilia Rubino. He was predeceased by his brothers Antonio and Vincenzo and his sister Maria Agostinelli. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Guests may arrive to the funeral home at 8:30am. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
