Obituary of Ciro Buttitta

Ciro Buttitta, 79, of Woodland Park, passed away on April 2, 2013. He was born in Bagheria, Sicily, Italy to the late Pasquale and Caterina Buttitta. Ciro worked as an automobile mechanic for many years before retiring. He was the beloved husband of Josephine (nee Fricano) for nearly 50 years. He was the cherished father of Cathy Cirrincione and her husband Onofrio, Josephine La Bianca and her husband Michele, and Pat Buttitta. He was the adored grandfather of Michael, Joseph and Daniel Cirrincione and Anthony, Laura and Sabrina La Bianca. He is also survived by brothers Francesco, Giovanni and Giuseppe in Italy, brother-in-law Andrew Fricano and his wife Vera as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Saturday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Pompei Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9:00am. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
