Obituary of George Anastos

George Anastos, age 82, of Wayne, passed away on March 5, 2012. George was born in Paterson to the late Angelo and Jenny Anastos. He was a postal worker for the Township of Parsippany before retiring. He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wyckoff. George was the beloved husband of the late Christine (nee Malames). He was the adored father of Joanne Anastos, Georgette Cosentini and her husband Joseph, and the treasured grandfather of Steven, Alexis, and Marissa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral service will be offered on Thursday at 10:30am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 467 Grandview Ave., Wyckoff. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9:30am to proceed to church. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.
