Obituary of Nicola Silvestri

Nicola Silvestri, age 82, of Woodland Park, passed away on March 31, 2012 surrounded by his family. Nicola was born in Pacentro, Italy to the late Antonio and Angela Silvestri. After coming to America, Nicola worked in the tile industry while living in Michigan. He was a parishioner at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson and was a member of St. Carlo Borromeo Confraternity in Italy. Nicola was the beloved husband of Maria (nee DiNello) for almost 60 years and the treasured father of Angela Silvestri. He is also survived by his sister Angiolina Marcantonio and her husband Mario, his sister in law Anna Pasqua and her husband Tonio as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9:15am. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
