Obituary of Louise A Mazza

Louise A. Mazza, (nee Ascione), age 73, of Fairfield, formerly of Paterson, passed away on April 8, 2012. Louise was born in West Pittsburgh, PA to the late Sisto and Angeline Ascione. She was a retired secretary from Soldoveri Insurance in Totowa and Wachovia bank and was a parishioner at Fairfield Reformed Church and St. Gerard's RC Church in Paterson. Devoted to her family, Louise was the beloved wife of Larry Mazza, the loving mother of Lynne Mazza-Hilway of Little Falls, and Lazzaro Mazza, Jr. of Flanders and the cherished grandmother of Helina, Louisa, Rosa and Lazzara Mazza-Hilway. She was the dear sister of Ralph Ascione and Betty Schappell and was predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 9:30am at St. Gerard Majella Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson. The Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Monsignor Mark Giordani. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 8:30am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
