Obituary of Edward J Healey

Edward Healey, age 83, of Totowa, passed away on April 30, 2012 surrounded by his family who loved him so dearly. Edward was born in Paterson to the late Andrew and Bridget Healey. He was the gentlest of souls quietly walking the earth with peace and prayer in his heart. Ed was a Latin teacher in the Paterson school system and later worked as a security guard at the Little Sisters of the Poor in Totowa while spending his retirement living there. He was also a Third Order at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson. He was the beloved brother of Mary Healey Feenan and her husband John, Reverend Andrew Healey SSCC, John Healey and his wife Terry and Peter Healey and his wife Terry. He was much loved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 pm at Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherd Lane, Totowa. A Mass of Resurrection will be offered on Saturday at 10:30am at Little Sisters of the Poor. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa. Arrangements by Santangelo Funeral Home, Woodland Park. In thanksgiving for Ed's life and the wonderful care given to him by the Little Sisters of the Poor donations to St. Joseph's Home in his memory are greatly appreciated by his family.
