Obituary of William J Taylor

William J. Taylor, age 77, of Wayne, formerly of West Paterson and Paterson, passed away on June 22, 2012. He was born in Passaic to the late William and Lillian Taylor. William was a Korean War Veteran having served proudly in the US Air Force and a member of the Passaic County Sheriff's Department Mounted Police. He was also a coach for the West Paterson Boys' Club for many years and played professional football in the US and Canada. He was the owner of Taylor Trucking Company. William is the beloved husband of Barbara H. (nee Lyden) for 50 years. He was the cherished father of William J. Taylor and his wife Patricia, Timothy P. Taylor and his wife Marci, and Gregg Taylor and his wife Anne. He was the treasured grandfather of Danielle, William J., Zachary, Marlon, Bryan, Nuno, Melissa and Brian. He was the dear brother of Dorothy and her husband Joseph and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 9:30am at St. James of the Marches Church, 410 Totowa Rd., Totowa. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
