Obituary of Pasquale Margherita

Pasquale Margherita, age 86, of Woodland Park, passed away early Tuesday morning July 10, 2012. Born in Cetraro, Italy to the late Benedetto and Angelina Margherita, he came to the United States in 1947. Pasquale was a part owner of Johnny's Shoe Repair in Dover, NJ and Service Shoe Repair in Caldwell. He decided later in life to make a career change and started Pat's Grinding and Sharpening Service in 1974. He loved the outdoors, hunting, playing cards at the Roma Club in Paterson and especially being with his family and many friends. He was the beloved husband of Concetta (nee Fiorarancio) for 61 years. He was the cherished father of Benny and his wife Robin, Frank and his wife Kathy, and Johnny and his wife Michele. He was the adored Nonno to Gregory, Catherine, Patrick, Samantha, Chloe and Steven Margherita. He is also survived by his brother Ralph Margherita as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters Albina, Concetta, and Rosa. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-5& 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 8:30am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
