Obituary of Edward A Biggs
Edward A. Biggs, 89, of Forked River, formerly of Woodland Park, passed away on July 15, 2012. Edward proudly served in the US Marines as an Iwo Jima WWII veteran and a China Marine veteran in the 4th Marine division. He then worked as a chemical supervisor at Witco Chemical Co. in Paterson and was a member of the Marine Corp. League Lakeland Division in Pompton Lakes, NJ. Edward was predeceased by his wife of 40 years Elizabeth Anne (nee Murray) and by his son Edward J. Biggs. He was the cherished father of Annemary (Dee) Brunetti and her husband Anthony, Joseph Biggs and his wife Sandra, John Biggs and his wife Bonnie, James Biggs and his wife Margaret, Theresa Biggs and her life partner Gail Battaglia, and Thomas Biggs and his wife Julie. He was the adored grandfather of Mary Elizabeth, Katie and Nicholas Brunetti, Joseph, Michael, Amanda, Casey, Mark, Raechel, Elizabeth, Francesca, Genieveve, Ashley and Damian Biggs and great grandfather of Kaiden Biggs. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy DeWilde and brothers Gordon and Douglas Biggs. He is survived by brother Richard and wife Dorothy, his sister Evelyn and husband Albert Peterson, Joan Biggs wife of Douglas and Adeline Biggs wife of Gordon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 9am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson, NJ. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Marine Corp. League Lakeland Division in Pompton Lakes, NJ.
