Obituary of Joseph R. Lomagro

Joseph R. Lomagro, age 79, of Totowa, passed away on August 24, 2012. Joe was born in Paterson to the late Sebastian and Santina Lomagro. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1953-1956. Joe was a member of the American Legion Post #227 in Totowa, St. Anthony's Men's Club in Paterson, and the Riverside Vets in Hawthorne. Most recently, Joe enjoyed working as a bartender for the American Legion Post # 227 in Totowa. Joe was the beloved husband of the late Alice (nee Edsall). He was the cherished father of Joe Lomagro and his wife Sue Ellen, Joe Bonilla and his girlfriend Kelly Wood, Michael Lomagro and Nick Lomagro. He was the treasured grandfather of Tony Mantone and Roxanne and Amelia Lomagro. He was the dear brother of Pauline Durkin and her husband Jack and John Lomagro and his wife Marion. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-9pm and Wednesday from 9-10am at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A graveside service will follow visitation on Wednesday at 10:00am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
