Obituary of Giovanna DeRosa

Giovanna DeRosa (nee Carnemolla), 92, of Wayne, passed away June 14, 2014. Giovanna was born in Sicily, Italy on October 6, 1921. She was a loving homemaker to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of the late Rosario DeRosa (1999), the cherished mother of Michael DeRosa and Sally and the late Frank DeRosa and his wife Loretta, and treasured grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Giovanna is also survived by her brother William Carnemolla. She was predeceased by her sisters Carmella, Guiseppina, and Sarina. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 &7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the charity of your choice.
