Obituary of Filomena Soussou

Filomena Soussou (nee Kalyoussef), 86, of Monroe Township, formerly of Wayne, passed away July 4, 2014. Filomena was born in Turkey on March 22, 1928 to the late George G. Kalyoussef and Hanneh (nee Shahood). Before retiring, Filomena worked as a seamstress for Brooks Brothers in Paterson. She was the beloved wife of the late Antoun Soussou and the cherished mother of Emil Soussou and his wife Liz, George Soussou, Laila Salloum and her husband Salim, and Therese Cavaliere and her husband Dave. Filomena was the treasured grandmother of Roger and Priscilla Soussou, Christopher and Robert Salloum, Andrew Cavaliere, and Natalie and Anthony Soussou. She was the dear sister of 4 sisters and 5 brothers and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00am at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 237 Long Hill Rd., Little Falls, NJ. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
