Obituary of Jamil Saba

Jamil Saba, 85, of Little Falls, passed away on August 11, 2014. He was born in Syria on July 27, 1929 to the late Elias and Hanneh Saba. Before retiring, Jamil worked as a chemist. He was an active member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Little Falls. Jamil was the beloved husband of Asma Ayoub. He was the cherished father of Souheil Saba and his wife Ragheda, Nidal Saba and his wife Gail, Souheila Aziz and her husband Essam, Samia Ayoub and her husband Nazih, Hana Kamel and her husband Raafat, and Rima Saad and her husband Bassem. He was the treasured grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He was the dear brother of Abdelkarim Saba of Syria and was predeceased by 7 siblings. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ 07424. A funeral service will be offered on Wednesday at 10:00am at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 237 Long Hill Rd., Little Falls, NJ. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair. Memorial donations may be sent to the church.
