Obituary of William P. Cregan

William P. Cregan, 90, of Totowa, passed away on August 11, 2014. William was born on March 10, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ, the only child of the late William and Rose (Duffy) Cregan. William proudly served his country as a member of the US Army Air Corps during World War II. After attaining his Bachelor's Degree, William worked both for the Newark Public School System as a teacher/librarian and as a reference librarian at the main branch of the Jersey City Public Library. He was the beloved husband of the late Bernice (Lemoine) and the cherished father of Father Mark T. Cregan, C.S.C. He is also survived by many cousins on both the Cregan and Duffy side of the family. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherd Lane, Totowa, NJ 07512. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherd Lane, Totowa, NJ. Entombment will take place on Monday at 10:00am at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ.
