Obituary of Assunta "Helen" Mambelli

Assunta Helen Mambelli (nee Fastiggi), 80, living in Clifton since 2007, passed away on November 26, 2014 surrounded by her children. Born September 5, 1934 in New Rochelle, NY to the Late Michael and Carmella Fastiggi. Her oldest brother, the late Jimmy Fastiggi and his wife Ann, raised her after their parents passed away. She worked as an Aide at the North Jersey Developmental Center and then retired from Bergen Pines Hospital. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Clifton and Clifton Happy Time Seniors. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Mambelli for 30 years. She was the cherished mother of LoriAnne and her husband Javier, Dorinne, and Dino and his wife Jennifer. She was the adored grandmother of Wesley and his wife Julie, Frankie, Jonathan, Alex, Daniel, Julia& Isabelle. She was dear sister of the late Jimmy and his wife Ann, late Danny, late Tony and wife Grace & late George and wife Mary. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-5 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Monday at 11:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Cremation will be private at the request of the family. Remains to be buried at Laurel Grove Memorial Park at a later date.
