Obituary of Judith A. "Judy" Tafaro

Judith "Judy" Tafaro (nee Ritter), 65, of Woodland Park, passed away on December 10, 2014. Judy was born in Paterson, NJ on February 25, 1949 to the late Charles and Sadie (Mullane) Ritter. Judy worked as a district manager at the Herald Newspaper for many years. She was also a member of the Passaic Valley Elks #2111 Ladies Auxiliary. Judy was the beloved wife of the late John William Tafaro for 40 years before his passing in 2011. She was the treasured mother of John Tafaro, Jr., Vito Tafaro and wife Vicki, Daniel Tafaro and his wife Tohbi, and Edward Tafaro and his wife Lynnemarie and the cherished grandmother of Rachel, Vito, Jr., Daniel, Jr., and Anthony John. She was the dear sister of Rose Umstead, Kathy Cenko, Carol Ritter and the late Alice Ritter and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ 07424. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
