Obituary of Connie Santangelo

Connie Santangelo (nee Avoglia), 88, of Levittown, Pa, formerly of Paterson, passed away on February 1, 2015. Connie was born in Jersey City on November 12, 1926 to the late Anthony and Josephine Avoglia. Connie was a school secretary for the Paterson Board of Education at School #9. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Paterson where she was a member of the Senior Group and the Rosary Society. Connie was the beloved wife of the late James Santangelo (1996). She was the cherished mother of Angela Labinski, Joanne Spooner, and Donna Morello and her husband Anthony. Connie was the treasured grandmother of Tim, Jim, Natalie, Jenna and Hannah and the great grandmother of Jimmy, Jessie, Michaela and Jeffrey. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-5pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ 07424. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson, NJ. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
