Obituary of James J Peloso

James J. Peloso, 73, of Paterson, passed away on February 4, 2015. James was born on October 2, 1941 in Paterson, NJ to the late Anthony and Antoniette Peloso. James proudly served our country as a member of the US Navy from 1961-1963 on the USS Muliphen. He later worked as a general contractor and most recently as the building inspector and zoning officer for the City of Paterson. James was a member and Vice President of the Fidelians of America in North Haledon as well as a member of the Do Good House in Totowa. He was an avid golfer and fisherman who especially enjoyed playing and working at the Passaic County Golf Course. James was the beloved husband of Angela (DiLuzio) Peloso for 53 years. He is the cherished father of Michele Anderson, Lisa Peloso and James R. Peloso and his wife Anita. He is the treasured grandfather of James, Lauren and Joseph Anderson, Rachel and Eddie "EJ" Akins, and April and Anthony Peloso and the great grandfather of Adelynn Acola. He was the dear brother of Maryann Mariani and her husband Mel, Angela Fiorita, Teresa DiLuzio and her husband Donald, Anthony Peloso and his wife Patricia, and Linda Williams and her husband Michael. James is also survived by his mother-in-law Rose DiLuzio, many nieces and nephews and very special friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-5pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 Mcride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 10:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Curch, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson, NJ. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
