Obituary of Harold Sebecke

Harold Sebecke, 90, of Paramus, formerly of Emerson, Fairview and Montague, passed away on February 8, 2015. Harold was born on August 19, 1924 in Union City, NJ to the late Frank and Mary (Drake) Sebecke. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant of the US Air Force during WWII and served as a Gunner on a Bomber plane. He later worked as an embroiderer for many years and was a school bus driver most recently before retiring. In his spare time, he was an avid fisherman who fished until he was 82 years old. Harold was the beloved husband of the late Henrietta (Zimmer) Sebecke (2014). He was the cherished father of Robert Sebecke and his wife Nancy and Raymond Sebecke and his wife Carole. He the treasured grandfather of Kimberley and Robert Sebecke and his wife Yvonne, Michael Sebecke and his wife Ana, Gregory Hartman and his wife Nicole, Michael Hartman and his wife Bridget, Lauryn and Travis Wolf, and Lee and Robin Kolessar and the great grandfather of Jonathan, Robert, and Christian Sebecke, Ryan and Francis Hartman, and Brandan, Austin and Brianna. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
