Obituary of Jessie V Reda

Jessie V. Reda (nee Longobardi), 89, of Woodland Park, passed away on March 17, 2015 at home surrounded by her devoted family. Jessie was born in New York City on October 4, 1925 to the late Salvatore and Maria (Costillo) Longobardi. Before retiring, Jessie worked as a bookkeeper for Rotondo Floor Covering and Reda& Sons, both in Woodland Park. She was a past President of the Ladies Auxiliary for the West Paterson Fire Company #1. She was also a member of the Totowa/Wayne Chapter of Deborah and a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Paterson. Jessie was the beloved wife of Samuel Reda for 69 years. She was the cherished mother of Anthony Reda and his wife Janice, Michael Reda and his wife Gina and her late son Robert Reda and the treasured grandmother of Mark, Ashley, Francesca, Giancarlo, Alexandra, Taylor and Michael. She was predeceased by her brother Nicholas Longobardi and her sister Tina Panicci and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
