Obituary of Eleanor Celentano

Eleanor Celentano (nee DeLuca), 88, of Paterson, passed away on March 17, 2015. Eleanor was born in Italy on March 29, 1926 to the late Dominick and Ermelina DeLuca. Eleanor was the beloved wife of Gennaro "Jerry" Celentano. She was the cherished mother of Jerry Celentano and his wife Paula, Mary Ziskin and her husband Bob and Eleanor Celentano and the treasured grandmother of Alaura, Alisa, and Joseph Celentano, Melanie Berninger and Jessica, Jacob, Jordan and Jamie Ziskin and great grandmother of Zachary and Brooke Berninger. She was predeceased by her brothers Angelo, Anthony and Edward DeLuca and by her sister Bridgit and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
