Obituary of Giovanni Bernardo

Giovanni Bernardo, 75, of Wayne, passed away on April 12, 2015. Giovanni was born in Colle D'anchise, Italy in April 1939 to the late Nicola and Carolina Bernardo. Giovanni worked most recently as a custodian for the Wayne Board of Education. He was the beloved husband of Rita (DiPetta) Bernardo for 49 years. He was the cherished father of Nick Bernardo and his wife Debbie and Enzo Bernardo and the treasured grandfather of Nicolas and Alyssa Bernardo. He was predeceased by his brother Carmine Bernardo. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
