Obituary of Flora Vargas

Flora Vargas, 90, of Haledon, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 6, 1924 in Tres Rios, Costa Rica to the late Abel and Elia (Calderon) Vargas. Flora was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sorely missed by all of her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Edgar Amador, the treasured mother of Flory Amador, Edgar Amador and his wife Maria, Napoleon Amador, Orlando Amador and his wife Maria, Ana Amador, Alexis Amador and his wife Maria, and Juan Carlos and his wife Olga. Flora is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren who all loved her dearly. She also has brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family that she leaves behind in Costa Rica. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 9:00am at Our Lady of the Lourdes, 440 River St., Paterson. Guests may gather at the funeral home at 8:00am before proceeding to church. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
