Obituary of Ramon E Sotomayor

Ramon E. Sotomayor, 74, of Garfield, passed away on May 4, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico to the late Ramon E. Sotomayor and Serefina (Rivera) Sotomayor. Ramon was a linotype operator and worked most recently at Prudent Publishing. He also formerly owned The Question Mark Bar in Paterson. He was the beloved husband of Aida L. (Martinez) Sotomayor for 35 years. He was the cherished father of Abraham Rosa and his wife Christine, Zenja Rosa, Eileen Marrero, Ramon Sotomayor, Damaris Sotomayor and the late Janet Rosa and the treasured grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters but is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ 07424. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
