Obituary of Gasper Pellegrino

Gasper Pellegrino, 87, of Woodland Park, passed away on May 9, 2015. Gasper was born in Carlstadt, NJ on September 24, 1927. Gasper proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a carpenter for many years and later retired as a mail carrier for the Borough of Woodland Park. Gasper was a parishioner and usher at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson. Gasper was the beloved husband of Louise (Russo) for 61 years. He was the cherished father of Geralyn Doran and her husband Thomas and Susan VanDam and her husband Douglas. He was the treasured grandfather of Tom Doran, Jack Pellegrino, and Emily, Elisabeth and Douglas VanDam. He was the dear brother of Francis Lindskog and the late Alfio Pellegrino and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral mass will be offered on Friday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St, Paterson. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception in Upper Montclair.
