Obituary of Michael Gabriel D'Amico

Michael Gabriel D'Amico, 76, of Woodland Park, passed away on July 17, 2015. He was born in Passaic to the late Joseph and Yolanda (Stefanacci) D'Amico. After attaining his Bachelor Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, Michael worked for many years as a supervisor for the Passaic County Board of Social Services in Paterson. Michael was the cherished husband of Toba (Burris) D'Amico, the treasured father of Michael J. D'Amico and his wife Catherine, and the adored grandfather "Po Po" of Samantha, Danielle, and Julianna D'Amico. He was also survived by his dear sister Etta Rooney, his beloved Aunt Fanny Stefanacci, sisters-in-law Nelda Beam and her husband Carey and Robin Thomas, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Maryann Allen. Michael was a past President of the West Paterson Boys and Girls Club and was a parishioner and usher at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Paterson. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson, NJ. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
