Obituary of Vincenzo Amato

Vincenzo Amato, 72, of Paterson, formerly of Woodland Park, passed away on July 25, 2015. He was born in Naples City, Italy to the late Pasquale and Angelina (Ioime) Amato. Vincenzo was as a textile worker for many years for the Textile Union #1733 in Paterson, NJ. In addition, he owned the Napoli Club on Cianci Street in Paterson and was an avid soccer fan. Vincenzo was the dear brother of Michele Amato and his wife Giuseppina, Filomena Colatarci and her late husband Justin, and Salvatore Amato. He was the cherished uncle of Pasquale Amato and his wife Enza, Massimo Amato and his wife Tracy, Paul Colatarci and his wife Kathy, Justin Colatarci and his wife Cindy, Rita Mazza and her husband Greg, Maria Colatarci, Margaret Negley and her husband Scott, Salvatore Amato, Jr., and all of their children and families. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson, NJ. Guests may gather at Santangelo Funeral Home at 8:30am.
