Obituary of Joan B Carbone Gasparino

Joan B. Carbone Gasparino (nee May), 82, of Woodland Park, passed away on September 2, 2015 surrounded by her family. Joan was born on May 18, 1933 in Paterson, NJ to the late Thomas and Catherine (Walton) May. Most recently, Joan worked as a home health aide for the Visiting Health Services in Totowa, NJ. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Gasparino. She was the adored mother of James T. Carbone and his wife Mary, Robert Carbone and his wife Nancy, Jo-Ann Mott and her husband Dante, Patricia Depsee and her husband William, Leslie Kenney and her husband Thomas and Thomas Carbone and his wife Donna. Joan was the treasured grandmother of Jill Carbone, Lisa Drake, Gina Hascup, Karen, Stacey and Kelly Palfi, Jamie Eppler, Christina Paternostro, Dante and Jessica Mott, Michael, Jonathan and Diana Depsee, Sarah Ackerman, and Lauren and Justin Kenney. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren. Joan was the dear sister of Thomas and Douglas May and the late Rhoda Taylor. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
