Obituary of Jael Mejia

Jael "Nora" Mejia, 77, of Paterson, passed away on September 13, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Columbia on February 17, 1938 to the late Lino Antonio Majia and Maria Luisa Ruiz. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose Manuel. Jael was the cherished mother of Ana Cecilia Mejia, Luz Ines Mejia, Jose Ignacio Mejia, John Jairo Mejia, Dora Maria Mejia, Angela Maria Mejia, Claudia Mejia, William Mejia and Rodrigo Henaco. She was the adored grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 10:00am at St. Brendan's Church, 154 East 1st Street, Clifton, NJ. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9:00am. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.
