Obituary of Walter Tallia

Walter Tallia, 85, of Paterson, passed away on September 15, 2015. Walter was born in Hawthorne, NJ on July 6, 1930 to the late Guido and Ida (Prima) Tallia. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1947-1949. He worked for many years as a baker at various Path Mark supermarkets. Walter was the beloved husband of Marion (McCoog) Tallia for over 59 years. He was the cherished father of Mark A. Tallia and his companion Irene Tammaro and Danielle L. Porter and her husband Charles and the treasured grandfather of Makayla Porter. Walter was predeceased by his sister Lydia Cinquino and is survived by his dear sister in law Eleanor Kuchar and her husband John as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Guests may gather at Santangelo Funeral Home at 9:15am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
