Obituary of Thomas Williams

Thomas Williams, 87, of Paterson, passed away in his home on September 22, 2015. He was born in Paterson on August 5, 1928 to the late Alfred and Bessie (Heiart) Williams. He worked for many years as a service tire man at Dave Sterns in Paterson. Thomas was the beloved husband of the late Speranza (Leva) Williams. He was the cherished father of Rosemary Napoliello, Thomas Mutchler, Patricia DiCarlo, Nick Kelvey and his wife Nancy, Diane Stockstill, Dawn Casper and her husband Knute and Diane Williams and her late husband Jim Carioti. Thomas is the adored grandfather of 24 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He is the dear brother of Rose, Mary Ann, Jean, Antoinette, Robert, Arthur, and Richard Williams and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Thomas was predeceased by his wife Speranza, his son Thomas Williams, son Frederick Williams who died during the Vietnam War at the age of 19, his son Bob Kelvey, one grandchild, 5 sisters and 6 brothers. Thomas was a loving family man and an avid fisherman. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. Burial will be held on Saturday at 10am at Fair Lawn Cemetery. Guests may gather at Santangelo Funeral Home at 9am. Memorial donations may be sent to: American Cancer Society www.cancer.org
